Big Weather New Post!
New post! I enjoyed painting this very much and am very pleased with it. I've added Gamblin galkyd lite to the oil paint as I worked on this and it added a little gloss to the finished piece adding to the interest in the water. Now it's a waiting game to see when it's ready to go. It has some curing time left but I couldn't wait to post it.
Spring florals continued
It's funny when I want to explore something new in paint I grab a large canvas instead of trying things out on a small. I tend to jump in with both feet and like the room to move the paint around when I experiment. What I've noticed lately is that I'm zooming in on the completed piece to small areas I like and thinking these little area would make a beautiful large painting. Like this little pictured area from a very large piece. I'd like to try to make the micro macro. I'll wait until tomorrow and see what the...

Spring Florals
Was is a day or two of sun that's bringing it on or is it a natural reaction to the bleak dull days of winter? Whatever it is I have the need to see full on colour and paint energetic florals with abandon. I can't describe the feeling I get painting without any worries and just following the lead where the colours take me. It's so much fun. Clean up can be a little harsh but as long as you get your brushes done...the rest can wait.
