Paddling Home

Being out on the water in my kayak is calming and helps centre my spirit. I always feel better for going out for a paddle and the feeling lingers and becomes inspiration for my paintings. 

Fresh off of the water from a paddle in my kayak I felt like capturing the feeling in this little original painting I call Paddling Home. Sometimes I wonder where my "home" is. I have deep roots and a pull to the St. Lawrence River where I grew up and the Rideau where I live know. Both are in my heart and I feel very fortunate for that. I guess I have two homes.
