Sweet Summertime

"Sweet Summertime" was sketched out and painted in one sitting to create a cohesive feeling. That quiet moment when everything is right with the world. Trying to hold on to the idea I kept myself from overworking this piece to keep the freshness. It feels like a sun drenched memory of being on the river mid afternoon. All is quiet and your time is your own. Acrylic on a gallery 24 x 24 inch canvas. 

After living with "Sweet Summertime" I came to the conclusion that it needed a little TLC refresh. The sky needed to be brighter, then brighter still, reminding me of the sun blind days of my youth spent squinting from the sun overhead and refections on the water. "Sweet Summertime" is all about that feel good freshness of living the day outside in the elements and having a great time.
